After many years working in International Human Rights, I decided to make a change to spend more time closer to my family, and do more with my 2 passions - animals and sport. For the last 3 years I've been the secretary of a local youth football club, working to bring exercise, teamwork, friendship and fun to more kids in our local area. I live a vegetarian lifestyle because of my commitment to animal rights, and I've shared my life with numerous dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs over the years. Our Shih Tzu (Astro) is the centre of our family life, and it will be my priviledge to take care of your precious pet and meet your needs.
I hold a Level 3 Pet Sitting and dog walking business diploma, including dog behaviour, first aid and security.
I have an enhanced DBS check, full insurance from a specialist insurer. I'm registered with the National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers NARPS UK
Going for a walk is one of the most important highlights of your dog's day. Walking with me with be stimulating, enriching and fun. Every dog has different needs, feelings and passions. By listening closely to your priorities, I will build an indiviually-tailored programme that works for you and your friend to provide maximum fulfillment from their time with me.
Safety first
I carry a dog first aid kit and manual at all times. I am trained in animal first aid and registered with a local veterinarian in case of emergency issues.
Socialising
Social interaction is important to all dogs. I will learn about your pet and adapt my walks to accommodate specific needs. Group walks are a maximum of 4 dogs so that I can ensure all participants are having fun.
Homemade Treats
Every dog I meet LOVES my homemade natural and grain-free treats. Nothing's too good for dogs in my care! Sourcing local with meat from
Security
On or off the lead, I will be watching your dog at all times. I never wear headphones and don't take phone calls on walks. Dogs in my care get my full attention.
No bored dogs!
I walk a variety of fun and stimulating local routes so the sights, sounds and surfaces are ever changing.
Stimulation
Physical exercise is not the only benefit of my walks. Olfaction (sniffing) is a a dog's primary special sense and my walks will stimulate this as well as your dog's other senses; hearing, sight, touch and taste.
